@Leah Clayton Sutton We farm mostly the Far North Dallas area, specifically the Richardson, Frisco, Plano, Allen, & Wylie ISD's. 

Does anyone know how Arlington flip opportunity would be compare to north Dallas area such as Plano or Frisco.  

(Plano, Frisco, MckInney, Allen, Southlake, Coppel etc...)What kind of investment you are targeting..?

Looking for all  your input on "Rent to Price" ratios for Dallas area (surrounding towns like Plano, Irving, Burleson, Crowley, Little Elm, McKinney...).

If you were to convert it into a rental, it has to rent for over 3k a month, which may not be feasible.For investors on this forums, most would choose a path where they can house hack, buy a good but distressed property in a class-A neighborhood for 200k, put 70k in repairs and get a valuation of 350k in the open market.BTW, Before I got into investing, I bought myself a nice 380k worth liability in plano.

The more and more I'm learning about real estate, I am finding that a really good way for me and my wife to jump into REI is to use an FHA loan and buy a multi-family and live in one of the units for a year or more.The actual niche and strategy I am interested in investing are SF and MF buy and hold.The questions I have - being born and raised in and around Dallas - is are their decent/good markets for multi-family properties the Richardson, Plano, Garland, and surrounding cities?

I'm looking at mulit-unit properties (3 to 5 plex units) in the Richardson, Allen, Plano area.I'm quite excited to be here and to learn from others!

My experience as a Loan Officer was for the BOA Corporate office in Plano Tx.

Richardson and Plano were really blossoming like crazy when I lived there for a year, however, it's probably getting pretty tough to compete with institutional money in the area now.

I would likely want to buy and move in myself, and then rent out the other half.Have any of you in the DFW area (I live in Plano) invested in Duplexes before?
