I would think there would be risks, I think they get around any licensing based on not having to do trust accounting (funds are still deposited directly to the owner who then pays the co-host via Venmo or whatever).Your experience far outweighs mine I am sure! 

The tax benefits of owning a property may outweigh lowballing something to say you got 20-40k off the asking price. also, Funding could dry up In The coming months or it couldn’t.

Hopefully your added property/sales tax dollars outweighs the publicview point.

I will investigate further with a CPA to see if the possible tax benefits outweigh the cost of setting up the LLC, yearly state franchise tax in California and cost of yearly tax returns. 

It may be a good investment, but if the costs outweigh the benefits then I would recommend looking for another opportunity.

You'll hear a lot of people saying you can earn higher % from putting the money to work, but if your "value" of peace of mind from having your money readily accessible outweighs the other return % then it's still a solid investment in my opinion ;) 

Tyler,While this idea sounds simple and a good way to boost revenue initially, the risks outweigh the reward here for me.

Depends on where you are at in your life, I am at the point where my convenience outweighs any type of money.

The cost difference far outweighs the time and effort portions of the full doc loans.Good luck.
