Try to have a contractor or architect look at it too.

Hi, I am looking for a smaller architect firm in the Richmond, CA area.

I'm a 28-Year-old Software Engineer gone architect, living in Shrewsbury, Ma, who has slowly gotten bored of the idea of starting a business "eventually" and decided that there is no time like the present.

Second, if you own a business with a partner and die, your spouse is now in business with your partner and he or she may not be the best architect, electrician, dentist, or otherwise know anything about the business.

trying to find a reasonable architect/designer to help us convert 2 bed/1 bath investment property to 3 bed/2 bath...any suggestions?

Here in Houston and I work with investors on their fix and flip projects and was curious how many of you flipping houses hire an interior designer or architect to help ensure the best possible layout, kitchen and finishes?

. :)     I'm an architect by education and practice most of my life, but in recent years have also gotten into real estate acquisition, development and management, both in the USA and here in Shanghai.  

But my guess is he doesn't want to be held to a SOW that doesn't include everything the architect puts in.

An architect should be able to tell you the cost and procedure entail for the conversion.
