I'm anti-permit and believe a permit is just a tax.

Perhaps bring it to their attention that this is non-recourse and Oregon is anti-deficiency.

We have rent control, nutty pro tenant/anti growth politicians, and even worse cash flow.

I did discuss with one tenant that he could not post inflammatory notes on the common doors but that was much nastier then what you have and it was on a common door.
