I understand I should have checked the payment to go through too, if not raise a flag and give them a call, but that would mean I'm doing the property manager's job and by the way they answer their phone I'm sure we would be in this situation anyways.

Too, the borrower in this situation must carefully vett the source of capital available to himself in these situations; he could find himself in the middle of a money laundering scheme or as a front man for a drug cartel, where his eventual choices can be incarceration or death.
