The robosigners weren't signing notes, they were signing affidavits (that are also supposed to be notarized, so the bank employees who were the notaries didn't follow proper procedures either) that stated "the facts" of the matter that was going to foreclosure.

I've seen a lot of people get so hung up in procedural things that they never get out and complete a deal.

Changing the locks is bad advice and probably illegal like here in Texas unless certain procedures are followed...which include leaving notice where the tenant can get a key.

In addition, the creditor must maintain and follow policies and procedures for reviewing points and fees and providing refunds to consumers.

The question is purely procedural: is an escheat considered to be an inheritance tax payment or  does one need to explicitly pay it off?
