Aside from the obvious answer that they are a trade group for real estate agents, and they would not be around for long if they said that using an agent doesn’t make a difference, here are a few reasons, which NAR acknowledges as not being factored in to their finding:- Lower priced properties are more likely to FSBO (e.g. commission costs are high relative to price, agents aren’t as interested in selling low prices homes).- Rural homes are 3x more likely to FSBO than urban homes.

If you could find work in this environment, maybe a builder....where you will meet all the trades...or a city code inspector....so same thing you meet all the trades.Otherwise maybe working in a supply store where you also could meet all the trades.Another alternative is a project manager for commercial construction...that's still moving strong here.Lending I would think would be super tough right now.

Then when they have to finally evict, all the months of being the nice guy goes down the drain anyway because now the tenant expects no consequences and asks the landlord how they could be such a mean, horrible person.Oh!
