Tips on finding a great handyman.

I’m an investor located in Columbus, Ohio and currently at 22 doors.

My current handyman bailed on me. I had worked with him for about 18 months, he was knowledgeable, reliable, did work for a fair price, and a vital piece of my RE team. Anyway, he received a settlement and stopped answering his phone the next day.

I don’t have the resources to put someone on payroll, so a handyman that can handle work when it arises, or 5-10 hours a week is a necessity.

Anyway, long story longer, I’m hoping someone can give me some solid tips on finding a good handyman. Places to search, websites, where to post ads? Any help is greatly appreciated.

@Joshua Biondi go to Home Depot or Lowes at 6AM on a Saturday. Any handyman who is up that early and working on Saturday is busy and willing to get up early to get the job done. Just snap pictures of their number on the side of their call and call them.

Another option is getting referrals from your realtor. Realtors usually have a good handyman on speed dial for issues that come up with buyers/sellers.
