There have been so many people that have found there passion in a different time in life, the creator of Grey Goose was in his 70's, and it doesn't stop with him.

If you are so passionate about individuals who have been "misled by guru BS" then maybe you should offer to council them personally. 

I love Swanny’s answer - his drive and passion (I know he just wants you to have the freedom he has) but I also understand your reply - balance and not burning out is important.Here is my opinion.

My wife and I are very passionate about real estate and how it changed our lives.

A 40 year old married couple with three kids and $1M net worth is "on pace" at best for paying their kids college and retirement.Automotive enthusiasts are just enjoying a hobby no different than any other passion.

Here today and gone tomorrow.What I always tell potential clients with my commercial real estate is to ask if  a company is in it for the long haul or are they just capitalizing on the next trend to hop in and out of for a quick buck and when you need them they are gone.A great answer from a company might be that what they are focused on is their passion and life's work and they see themselves doing this throughout their career.
