You may also be able to find a place with an in law suite type you can live in or you can rent out, if you want the duplex like investment.

You may want to check on your states short term occupancy laws.

Look into your Landlord Tenant laws for OH and your city.

Its such a small amount its almost rediculious to keep track of it but it is the law.

The answer depends upon whether the judgment attached to the property... which as @Wayne Brooks pointed out can depend on local law as well as how a property is titled.Also, liens are often paid at closing from the proceeds... not beforehand.
