Been trying to educate myself on ADUs to potentially add an apartment to an existing property or to have in my back pocket when evaluating additional purchases.RIGL 45-24 covers ADU stuff, and I know they relaxed the laws a little back in 2017 or so, and then again in 2022 (removing the family member requirement).I have at least one property zoned B-1 or B-2, which theoretically should allow for the creation of an ADU.

Schedule: There are too many factors, as Covid still being an issue with some of my subs, Storms, Someone getting sick, doctor appts, materials, holidays, Birthdays, Funds, Equipment Breaking down, Etc.

However, I do expect the codes to relax overtime, so my architect designed a large walk in closet for one of the bedrooms that could be potentially converted into a bathroom in the event that Santa Clara allows a 2nd bathroom for ADUs in the future.

I like to stay in it near my birthday, but that's close to Memorial Day, so I flex the date to be sure I get the holiday renters.I usually end up doing several small projects to improve my place(s), so it's not truly a "vacation" for me, but I'd say that's true for any owner.

Something durable but light and simple to keep the focus on the moutains :) We are in a stange place as a society, tourism lost is freshness and speed but we are confident that some people will soon want to have the opporunity to sit, walk and relax in a place like this one we have in our heads.And if this project hatches and lives well, we would like to build the same type of "house" on another land that as the same type of criteria, beauty, calm, nature and some tourism.You toughts would be appreciated, have you any ideas on this topic (building short term rentals)?

I recommend eventually replacing the photos that still have paint buckets or scaffold/ladder in them so it's cleaner.If room permits, I would rather have a table in the middle of the kitchen with four chairs instead of two chairs blocking the pantry.Looks like a great place to relax

Typically I just do a two night minimum but bump it to three for holiday weekends like MLK and such, and four for Thanksgiving.
