Anyways this is a complex tax area and one you should seek advice prior to entering into a transaction. 

I am looking for an individual or small firm who is reasonably priced as the deals will not be complex in nature.

I'm trying to step my game up and purchase  my first apartment complex while  seeing how creative i can get with the financing. 

If you set your goals appropriately and go after them will full force you'll meet them quicker than you can imagine but you need to spend time sharpening your ax.Good luck I'm hoping you post back on this tread in 3 years saying you just closed on a 120 unit apartment complex with 30,000 sqft of storage units. 

If you face them towards a common area that can make it feel more like an apartment complex. 

I purchased a two-unit complex earlier this year with a FHA loan.

Was set to close on our property and then was notified that would not be able to close due to the VA not paying the property taxes owed on the home.Hoping that this doesn't push out the closing day for an extended period of time as it just makes things more complex.

If it could be more like a small apartment complex or something of that nature but then still have the amenities of an extended stay. 

Our firm always recommend starting simply and then building out complexity if/when the asset protection and tax savings warrant it.Congrats on the new purchase!
