Anything to help me seem less random and crazy.I do not yet have personal experience as a host (my apartment is not an option -- entry is super-complicated and tied to a 'precious' FOB device), but I've watched closely as my girlfriend has successfully Airbnb'd her townhome in DC and she has already suggested that I list her as a partner.

If I could be all smartly invested in San Diego RE I would go all in but I invest in San Diego RE then pull money out of the RE place it in mutual funds heavily slanted in stocks waiting for another smart San Diego purchase.

We had various issues with our OOS RE investments that mostly were a result of bad luck that was made more difficult to deal with via the long distances involved.The prices are high in San Diego in part due to the same reasons that make the San Diego RE such a smart investment.
