Just because you are paranoid does not mean 'they' aren't out to get you.Seriously though, you have a couple of issues mixed in here.First, if you have assets outside your real estate investing, things like investment accounts, high value collectibles, homes and other personal property you want to protect, putting your properties in an entity isn't the whole solution.

Most "mentors" I've seen do things that aren't totally correct, many lack the depth of knowledge to really teach, so you'll end up staring off learning bad habits or attitudes.

I'm starting a yellow letter campaign and tend to be thorough in asking every question so I know the edges of the process which includes putting houses under contract with occupant sellers, a new step for me.But I disagree with your comment (above my question) suggesting that you shouldn't put a house under contract if you aren't sure you can sell it...

I really wouldn't classify a broker/agent selling 2 duplexes as a commercial broker/agent.At least not to me they aren't.2,3,4 units is residential property for lending purposes.
