This is primarily due to those born in the 90’s delaying marriage and children, increasing construction costs, and the fear that we could experience a real estate bubble like 12 years ago.

We can only hope and pray that our investments benefit us and our children rather than being forcibly donated to powers that be.It is easy for the media to vilify landlords and perpetuate the stereotypical uncaring scrooge. 

I’d stage one room, including fresh paint and nice furniture, etc.

We are hoping to build a business to pass down to our 4 children to generate long lasting income for many years to come.

Sold off furniture/personal items to recoup some of the closing costs/taxes and rented it to a tenant within a month.

I really feel that this could mean a great start to building something in his honor for my children. 

Right now we are putting a large amount of money away every month for college savings for both of my children (aged 6 and 2).  

So I've been doing this for a while and before I start a demo project I call the scrappers (if there isn't anything I want to scrap) for metal and the Purple Hearts etc to grab furniture.

I'm offering to clean up all the garbage & miscellaneous items (it's a mess on the inside, broken car in garage & throw away furniture in every room), but was looking for gestures that would make it easier for her to let go of the property at a discount.
