I would get in touch with them immediately and if they intend to do anything that you are not in agreement with you may have to seek legal guidance and submit an objection to the court. 

Shiny object syndrome holds back a lot of people!

I'm not sure I think it can be good for the right people - but I think too, STRs are a shiny object with a lot higher risk.

If the price appreciation objective has been met, then I would sell.

Identifying the best places to invest depends on your overall financial goals and objectives, risk tolerance, preferences and so much more.

In fact I would argue both those communities would probably like to see the elite (for the lack of a better word) who have been so indifferent to them go bust.Morally the bailout of SVB was repulsive but also strategically a blunder if your objective is to give more Americans opportunity and make America strengthen our country for the future.

Knowing that people's goals, objectives, risk/reward profile will often differ for any number of reasons, it is important to fully understand their background and then educate them on the alternatives with their respective pros/cons. 

As many have said, it is these initial door knocks and calls that will help you get comfortable and much more importantly give you experience of over coming all sorts of objection/rejection.
