I am reading Brandon's book Rental Property Investing and just finished the chapter on local vs. long-distance investing so I wanted to post the question here.

It is a lower quality finish than hard wood floors so it would reduce value of the home.Most your value increase comes from updated kitchens and bathrooms or adding living space.

@Michael P.The market while cooking slightly is still very hot and there is a lot of competition for what you are looking for.2 suggestions that I would make to you. 1 don’t worry about the llc.

not that i interact on U tube but I like the videos on fishing and flying and cooking and well how do you fix this or that on your wolf stove LOL.  

We later upgraded some finishes ourselves in order to avoid paying contractors (kitchen backsplash,  open shelves, etc).Feel free to pm me with questions on the process.

If not, what thoughts do you have on painting it - it has a high gloss finish so not sure if latex paint will stick without some preparation- possibly oil based Kilz.A few photos of part of the hallway and one of the bedrooms is shown below so you can see what we are dealing with.Appreciate any input or thoughts on options . . .be they painting of any other suggestionsThanks again!
