I am curious if any flippers out there have been experiencing large delays in their projects due to shortages of building materials?

And basically repeat process and quit my current jobI do have carpentry skills but even more so the mindset to be open and humble to learn new things.

Our biggest concern right now, though, is related to the rental market in a college town while universities are offering online classes due to Covid-19.Are any of you concerned about a shortage of renters in college areas since students aren't actually in school?

We're moving to the valley this winter and my husband is looking to go into business capitalizing on his own skill sets in carpentry, home repairs, driving/operating equipment, etc.

The bubonic plague killed so many people in Europe centuries ago that there was a shortage of workers.

Even more so considering that there is real risk in that holding period, real skill needed to manage it and real risk that it goes up, real loss of any appreciation beyond the RTO price as well as still being able to lose if you bought in an already appreciated market that could fall which is the reason RTO is becoming more populor (higher price to LTV in many markets). 

At the same time my skill set is in running our crew and remodeling not in the numbers.
