Any other direction you go you will have liability exposure -- if you try to pull it out it may break apart in transport and if you sell it you may get sued for it being tainted with mold.

Properties are much more affordable when you're about an hour outside the city, and with all the public transportation like the LIRR and MTA, its feasible to do the commute if you work in the city like I do. 

The real estate transaction takes longer, but with gold you have to find someone to buy it, either in person or online, transport it to them, and take a hit in order to compensate them. 

This is preliminary... could probably find an even better lot at higher cost with an even higher resale value.I’m doing math and trying to estimate foundation costs, plumbing, electricity, transporting the actual home, etc. and I’m getting about 120k as a max…. does that seem low?

The public transportation system in Rhode Island isn't really great compared to New York or Boston - it's just buses, no subway.

The other thing we like about Chicago is the ability to take advantage of Chicago being a transportation hub- Direct flights to other cities we've invested in.
