I see them as thieves and nothing more.

Problem is there are a lot of thieves and incompetents, and when you are 1st starting out you won't likely know enough to be able to pick out these 3 and get them all right, and may suffer as result (believe me, I know from painful experience).I started by moving from Glendale, CA (nice neighborhood, but horrible for cash flow investing) to Palmdale, CA (not so nice, long commute, but cheap and much better cash flow).

(Thieves are stupid) They gave me my money back almost immediately after police report filed.

Investing in real estate is challenging enough without thieves operating in my town. 

Despite the fact I have no intention of selling any properties to wholesale ‘thieves’.  

It's about the increasing the risk factor to thieves and making your property less of a target.

Be careful taking your time doing the project, as there are thieves that specialize in burglarizing homes under rehab, taking tools, materials, appliances etc.

One concern I might have is if it would attract vandals or thieves.

I live in the land of South Florida where the worlds most shady contractors congregate.In the past 5 years, I've lost in excess of $50,000 to thieving builders and handymen.

The thieves were back and used the condensing unit to reach the window unit and come inside.
