I ended up having tenants from over 60 miles away that are turning out to be awesome tenants(trashed credit from sacrificing some things for a better future for their children, but genuinely good people).

I would think sacrificing a couple of days to actually KNOW the team you have chosen and SEE areas you will be investing in would be priceless.

I realize I'm sacrificing time with this model but that's because I'm still growing the nest egg of investment money, and I've figured I saved enough on contractor costs to have longer holding costs.

Since they gave it to you and got something in return, the slight edge/technicality makes it your money.The beauty of real estate investing is you get to own the property and the benefits of owning it but pay the debts plus have leftover cash using dollars that you didn't have to earn by sacrificing your time (outside being a landlord).  

As to objectives … one is cash flow, the other is bulk profit, sacrificing the cash flow.
