ISpeed want's recording's of calls, which is very difficult to accomplish when, as in this case, I purchased the lead while in the field from my cell phone.

Over the past year, I've had to make frequent calls and send numerous emails—sometimes daily to MNPMC's office and the managing partner to receive timely owner disbursements.

Our goal is to start with a few small multiunit rental properties and grow from there (thanks @Brandon Turner for the numerous resources in this realm!)

I'm not yet decided on my investment journey's direction, but I truly value insights from those who've been in the field.

With switching to an entirely different field, it would probably be a good idea to get a little bit of experience in the day to day operations of property management, as well as familiarizing yourself with some of the Colorado fair housing laws, minimum property requirements, etc. 

The landlord may be planning on making it their 2nd home or any of numerous possibilities that the government removes with any law that changes that.
