Think that might open the illegal immigration floodgates?

The problem was NOT the law, the problem was the lack of enforcement.As for immigration, the United States is still the most immigrated to country in the world.

I would also look for cities that are showing a growth trend from job creation rather than immigration (ie: CA).

One has to love these discussions (I do)where self righteous, self appointed experts know better than an immigrant what it's like being one, or going thru the immigration process.

Do you serve them a “notice†taking them to Tenancies Tribunal or do you go to a Solicitor to sue –wouldn’t that be cost prohibitive?

This is bad legislation and counter productive to the legitimate cause of combating illegal immigration.

(This was also a period of virtually unrestricted immigration.)
