Here are my thoughts on the BP Site!!
Josh is probably scared to death to see this opening line!!. Not to worry. Let me say it first. This is a great site. I don't always understand or know all the rules, but I play by them. When I have something pointed out to change, I do it willingly. (there is no BUT coming up!)
I don't frequent any other site, don't turn down any colleague requests and genuinely enjoy the banter between members here.
Here is my one suggestion or concern. We have tons of newbies every week, and tons disappear every week. I've decided there are a couple reasons.
1. They enter in and get their feelings hurt.
2. They hover over the board and never get immersed in the BP Nation.
To # 1, sorry, you need a thicker skin on here. Get over it.
I want to dwell on # 2. There is no reason to hover. You'll never get your question answered, unless you ask it. As I pointed out , Jemel, a newbie last night , gathered up his cajones and asked a question. Wow!! He got probably 100 years of experience or more to answer it for him, FOR FREE!! The people on here for the most part are here to give info. You can take it or not, but it is offered. Most have no ulterior motives
There are great relationships and partnerships formed on here. You'll also miss out on those if you don't jump in. There are no dumb questions, only questions without the experience to back them up. You are missing the boat if you don't take advantage of the opportunities for growth on here
I've been on here for over a year and seen lots of changes, most for the better. Josh is continually asking for input and sometimes he doesn't like it, but at least he keeps asking. I'm sure the site will be even better next year than now. What an exciting thought. You can enjoy the ride with us, but you have to get involved.
There should be so many threads being replied to that you can't even keep up with them. Instead, sometimes , it seems like everyone is out to lunch at the same time!! We have so many good , knowledgeable folks on here that are asleep! Wake up and join the party. We should have hundreds of posts per hour. Wouldn't that be great?
Imagine how many more subjects we could all be involved in and learn from. We can all benefit more than we are now. Come on Nation, be more involved. OK, I'm done with my rant and I feel better. Rich, done ranting in FL, .
