A mentor who made a living on this style of investment.

It's a boxy 1960s style house and I want to open it up and remove at least two walls, but I dont know which ones are load bearing so i need help.I would pay the contractor for the estimate and use them to do the work.

I've seen several large garden style apartments go up along I-40 in the Burlington Graham area. 

We also have great older 4 unit attached multi-family's in and around my hood as well as cute 4-6 unit small detached cottage style multi-family's.

I have noticed investors in the south convert some units to conventional style apartments or leasing to non-students "as is".

It's the older style of building where all the units open onto the parking lot.

When the sheep are fed fear by the media the prices will begin dropping but until then it's tough to find deals in a lot of markets (I know some investors who are revising their numbers/lowering their number expectations toward buying simply to buy - that's not my style).
