I think the key is he keeps saying "buy at distressed prices", "30 year mortgage" and "fine renters"I see a lot of websites (usually wholesalers or agents) posting this quote as a way to convince readers they should hurry up and buy a property because Buffett says he would buy SFRs, but they don't mention he also has the above 3 caveats.

I can believe that there aren’t websites connecting buyers and sellers for a flat 1-2% yet.I don’t see a downside to the consumer to more competition.

You have to get a sticker from the city on each sign which is about $6 ea.I would think that craigslist ads, website, direct mail or driving for $$ would be more effective and you would not have to worry about the city bothering you.
