@Stephanie Potter Good catch there - totally did not mean to downplay the cost of fees (points) when using HM!  

Take photos and/or make a list of when permitted work was done (don't be surprised if that "10 year old roof" was replaced in 1997...)  

My fiancé has the photos, so I don't have them to upload at this time.

The fact that I'm mailing every address means I would automatically catch houses that need would only be found on more difficult to get lists.I know stopping is the worst thing I could do.  

When I asked him if my house flooded he said no.I started doing research and found a news photo of the flooding.I bought flood insurance for the house...and will keep the policy up to date until the city fixes the issue (which I'm told is forthcoming).  

Maybe you can get in it this week, get some photos, etc and we can put a plan together.
