This is a common scam. 

My firm opinion of Seed is that they are mostly a scam.

Now that there is this database, the only question is will they share it with investors, or online sites.Now, there's a second related issue with vacant homes, investors are so glad to find owners that they don't realized they're scammed:Vacant home scams: Vacant home scam                                      More scamsWhat got me interested in the issue was there's a vacant occupied home a block from me, vacant for several years.

As to the BBB, IMO it's one of the most successful business scams in the country, you do pay for your "ratings" and all you have to do to stay in good standing is basically make attempts to resolve issues that are brought up to the BBB, not hard to do.

If my tenant hadn't already tried to work me 3x in the three months I've had this property (she was in place turnkey when I bought it in Jan) then I may have more compassion... but I am feeling like she and others in town think this is an opportunity to scam property owners, and this is not just, fair or with any integrity- as a human or a tenant.

Renatus is 100% a total and absolute scam.

"Professional tenants" scam artist that understand the system often prey on the unexpected and there is generally man red flags along the way.  

It's a thing in Australia but a total scam IMO.
