My metro is still relatively affordable (though the gap is closing) and offers a higher quality of life (in my own opinion and I am biased) relative to two other metro's in the region. 

(I'm biased here, though, because we put in an offer today on a triplex for this exact reason).Best of luck and keep us all up to speed on your thought process.
