The property is a side by side town home , 2 bed, 2 bath built in 1984 selling for 64k or 120k for both units and potential renting the property for 1k a month.

I am not sure if this the correct forum to start this discussion, so please feel free to move it as needed.I am looking for some advice regarding a 2 family property that my parents have owned for more than 15 years in a small, rural town in Pennsylvania.

Also, we're looking to be in town August 4-6, and I'd love to attend an event, seminar or similar if you have any reccomendations. 

Well, it has been a crazy ride - but I run a Real Estate Holding Investment Company called GreyHill Capital Holdings and we buy residential multi-families throughout the upstate area.Our goal is to enter a town with potential, buy as many solid properties as we can and make it our main priority to always give our investors the highest returns possible.

See if your town has any ordinances on the books restricting numbers of non-related adults.

I’m not sure what it’s like for you in your area of Texas, but Portland, OR is a boom town right now.
