Does anyone know what it is like to invest in a storage facility?  

The property/facility management field can be very demanding at times and you need to be able to adapt to a constantly changing list of priorities.

PLUS how much it would cost for storing your belongings (the storage facility charges per month so the monthly charge should be what you quote him, even if you are only in the storage unit for 4 days.) plus moving twice.

I purchased an existing facility and most of my work was fine tuning it, rather than starting from scratch so My answers only start with existing facility.

Often if you want to separate the utilities the units will need to be legal with full cooking facilities and fire rated walls in between.

Look for populations over 200k with a consistent renter base ( either college , military, or medical facilities ) that support at least 30,000 in the area near your search.Read up on Bryan M Chavis, Larry B Loftus, Grant Cardone, Robert Kiyosaki, and others.Podcasts are free!  

I'm looking for guidance on structuring an impact investment to purchase a ~16 acre farm in Oregon ($800,000) for a local school to use as an outdoor education facility and produce farm.

An enterprising individual built an RV park 1/10 of a mile from the entry gate to the Amazon facility in the industrial park. 

Use of land access to common facilities in the piece such as hallways, heating system, elevators, and exterior areas are executed under legal rights associated with the individual ownership.
