When I lived at Silverado CC in Napa Valley the resort relies on the private owner condo's as there over night accommodation's so folks buy those and they are run like a hotel.. and again its usually break even at best.. however  about every 5 years to stay in the hotel program they require you to completely update your condo.. new furniture beds etc etc.

I have put some time into learning some Spanish, and can speak enough to get through a "how many beds and baths and how much is the rent" conversation.If things get really tough, I impose on one of my Spanish speaking friends to help.If the building is big enough that you would hire a manager, hire someone's who's bilingual.

If you want hard floors, anti up and get wood, bamboo is decent, never use ceramic in a living room (or dining room in my opinion).

Someone could have been investigated for fraud for example and never charged, they may find such information that is not of public record.If your are really going to get into the business bed with someone you don't know or feel uneasy about, a PI might be a good solution for your due diligence.
