I may not have worded it well or understood the initial statement. from my understanding he was saying someone was filling out an application in their name, so an illegal immigrant could live there, but not actually the person filling out the application.

David and his team said there’s no way to do deals while going through a divorce and they he understood and would “make it right” (as he’s gone through a divorce himself).

To me, once I really understood how buy and hold rental real estate works, I saw how it can be more like having that one carefully watched and protected basket, while stocks seem more like scattering the eggs and hoping the person watching each basket is doing a good job. 

Completely agree with the relationship part as if they were smart and understood repeat business, they'd want to offer lower rates and not just the same as the competition.

We understood this going into the process and my complaints are not with the offer.

At the end of the day, he understood that I took him into account in the equation, but understood the position that I was in.  

When we started, I made a few friendly trips to the zoning department to talk through the requirements in that regard and make sure I understood anything that the city might require or see as a red flag.
