Right now the biggest growth markets for agribusiness are in central California (Think Paso Robles-Santa Barbara) as it has a very specific mediterranean climate which is great for vineyards, lavender (which is going to be huge in the next 10 years), olive trees (has taken off and out paces new vineyards right now almost 2-1) and, in very specific areas- saffron.

I am open ears and I am merely looking for advice on how to proceed and whether or not Chicago would equate to a sound investment for a virgin investor.

I will either be having a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives with lunch, or iced tea ;-)These are the lots my partner and I want, the value is there at full price, but if I can get them cheaper obviously it's better for my bottom line.
