Hello BP,  I have a situation that involves my father in law who's a longtime investor with multiple free and clear small apartment buildings in a good market. 

I bought this land a few years back because it was the area my father was from.

If you’ve never seen your father lace up his workboots every morning and go to work it’s beyond your context to have a strong innate work ethic .

However, again managing my father's 4plex has been.... very, very easy compared to what I hear on these forums.

I had a father and a son come up to my area from Florida, about a year ago. 

My wife and I started a year ago and have been very fortunate to have a good start, with amazing people around us, and we'll also be working with my father, who is a full time investor of over 30 years.In preparation, I'm scheduling multiple visits to COS to network, learn the market, and form a team to start working on acquisitions before we are fully moved.

My scenario is similar in that I am JTWROS on a property with my father.
