You house is part of a development that is being considered for a total renovation of the entire block of properties.

Now purchasing an identical duplex 1 block away for $278k.

While you are there chatting, you can also ask if they know of any other properties on the block that are rented or where the owner wants to sell. 

.- If you can find a house around $120k within 3 blocks of BSU you will be golden.I use vision properties for management.We do have some new apt buildings built that are hurting some vacancy rates, but college rentals are doing great.I use Riverwood bank. 

Also, with traditional direct deposit or person-to-person services you cannot block partial payments by tenants, which can interfere with eviction proceedings. 

Most kids aren't naturally mean or judgmental - they become that way based on what they see and hear from adults.All my tenant quotes and stories are from adults, and I think I've blocked most of them out by now LOL

The area is very block by block but I can tell you that south Newark in general (think Clinton Hill, Springfield Ave, Weequahic, etc.) hasn't experienced quite the amount of development as some of the other areas in Newark.

If there is a new duplex about a block or two  from the university, do you think it will rent somewhat quickly?   

I remember when I first moved there I didn't have a parking spot and I would usually walk 7 blocks away simply because there was no spot for me to park.I thought it was merely a cash grab for the cities, and an attempt to regulate properties that fall in disrepair, since a lot of the cities have inspections of the rentals too.Or in my case, it says right on the form, that its for municipal tax purposes.One of the really nice neighborhoods in Salt Lake City has a house that they rent to six different people and all the cars there is a sight to behold, I personally wouldn't want that in my neighborhood either.
