We've researched economic data, demographic trends and city development plans, not to mention spending hours upon hours here on BiggerPockets reading advice and trying to get a feel for how the rehabbing business actually works (as opposed as how it's portrayed on tv).

However, direct mail can be very effective in reaching people who are otherwise hard to reach.If you think about it, everything from door knocking to direct mail to radio and TV broadcasts and online market efforts are merely different media.

They do the Flip or Flop tv show on HGTV. 

When you are more knowledgeable on how to handle leads, advertise on radio and TV (call me for help here)The real estate business is a great business, full of traps, stops and negatives, listen to only those who have a proven track record, don't get involved with slick talking folks who want to up sell you something.......... take counsel from professionals.

But generally the good news is that real estate isn’t like stocks and commodities, you don’t have to turn on the TV every morning to find out if you are rich or poor.  

I think you need to look at your finances like a reality TV show.

Sort of like my complaint with the god awful TV shows that make it look so easy and that we are all making 100K in 5 days per home.
