They could always reject it. 

The investor who gave the talk said that a computer reads the offers and accepts or rejects them, so don't get frustrated if yours is because you can re-bid tomorrow. 

The answer was that if that was submitted versus their format and formal appeal it'd just get automatically rejected. 

Fact of the matter is, if you fear rejection, get out now!
