There was severe flooding in that area many years ago, before modern storm drains were implemented in the area.Needless to say, I moved out and am living with parents now as they live nearby.A few months later, to make a long story short, the house was taken completely down to the exterior sheathing and studs after I ripped all the siding off and gutted the inside walls.

I buy property from the 1880-1920 all the time and don't have to deal with anything other than brining them up to modern code...but in my locale, that's only required if you start doing work...ie if I don't touch the electrical I don't have to worry about upgrading it, but as soon as I touch it...BAM!
