I noticed the San Jose Police Helicopter circling above Glider Elementary School (now closed, since June 2018) when 2 officers enter my open gate on my side yard to tell me that only emergency construction was currently allowed.

A gated community that during development was "the" spot to be could have been selling for 3mill+ at inception, and 10 years later lucky to get 1.25mil on sales because it is no longer "the" hot spot, that's now down on the river, or in the new condos down town, so on and so forth. 

maybe we can one day make a deal in the Triad of some sort. thanks, Dana

I was in the little lounge at the Sac Kings game last night and a bunch of older dudes joined my business partner and I at our table, asked us what we did, then told us that the fact that we're focusing on cash flow over appreciation makes us a losing business out of the gates.

Limit your emotional connection to your house and step away from the belief that your home needs to be an extension of your ambition.Before I started investing in real estate, I lived in an townhouse development north of Pittsburgh with an HOA in place, one step away from a gated community.

Shared dirt driveway with alley access for the second unit and metal gates for both.

For what it’s worth, I believe the book was on Bill Gates’ list of books to read for 2017 or maybe 2018.

The land is zoned rural for 2 acre lots,  but the dev is trying to have it up-zoned for gated mcmansions.
