I spot checked a couple of my properties amongst the two, and the assessed values match, but the payments are off slightly.Regardless, I would always trust the assessor, as they tend to be the tax authority so would have the most accurate info.

Additionally,  I highly doubt congress will go for it because it would affect their pockets as well.

Oh and make sure the person who is giving you the home has the authority to convey the property to you.

If you are not authorized, they will not discuss it with you.If she doesn't know if she is working with an attorney, she likely isn't.
