Tapping into the wisdom and thinking of folks who have greater perspective/different perspective and experience is so very valuable. 

Conventional Market "Wisdom" teaches individual traders and investors to Cost Average Down for the Long Term and don't worry about the Day to Day Value of their Portfolios, 401K, Simple IRA etc.

That leads me to a question then, since RE management, sales, purchasing, leasing is a  profession, it requires a broader understanding in the industry than a single niche, that makes me ask who might be giving professional training, who are these professors of wisdom that advance the broad spectrum of education required in a profession?

I'll take the nuggets of wisdom from yours, but choose to begin with asset protection.  

I was expecting some sage wisdom if I had to stop everything I was doing...ha ha ha.

No need to panic at the moment if you are managing riskwords of wisdom in this post  !! 

But while the popular wisdom is to look back 5 or so years for an unemployment trend, I also add a 12-year look back to see what happened after 2008 with regards to jobs and recovery.
