I just want to say - this is fascinating discussion and I appreciate everyone's insight.

I was fascinated by Deal Dog as a supplement to other methods of finding houses but now I'm concerned about the accuracy and how current the information may or may not be (after reading through the thread).

There is science then there is junk science.

As you can probably tell, it's about as much art as science.

For the past eleven years, I've been a high school science teacher, but because of the ever increasing demands in that career, I decided to switch.

It's fascinating how Zillow and Trulia's accuracy, even among adjacent markets or cities within the same metro area, can vary so drastically.

My point is, real estate is an art not a science and many many factors go into each property's decisions.

I didn't know anyone who invested in real estate but this isn't rocket science.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that there's going to be a simple bandaid solution.What you need to do is get someone out there who understands the building science behind insulation strategies and can help troubleshoot the actual reason for the condensation to be happening.
