He wants me to give him a 12 to 24 month mortgage but he feels he will have the place paid off within 18 months.Is this something I should spend money pursuing a lawyer with (viable) or just walk away (DF/SAFE/TX executory laws)Thanks.

Do i need a lawyer?

Biz owners, licensed professionals, (doctors, lawyers, etc)  real estate professionals (brokers, realtors, appraisers, investors, etc).  

This is all new to me, but I'm already working closely with a lawyer the specializes in the purchase of real estate at tax auction, etc.Anyway, while I'm waiting to officially confirm ownership and confirm the title is clear, etc.

Just not sure of a good local lawyer, and how to get the ball rolling.I've been reading the forums, and they are helpful to an extent, but there seems to be a TON of variability in the responses......yet everyone says it's fairly easy.

should I go to a RE lawyer to draft some up for me?

I would also want the paperwork done by a lawyer, just to make sure everything changes hands smoothly, and because I definitely want title.
