I was just browsing the Ikea website looking at their various new products and noticed they put a lot of effort (and probably a lot of money too) into predesigning every room of a normal house (there's about 15 different designs per room).

The contractor didnt' do what he wanted him to do, I still don't even know exactly what went on, whether he was going slow or did poor work or what, but my friend said he physically threatened the contractor, and the guy walked out on him after that.

If all of these raw materials have risen in price, their cost is funneled through into real products... steel--> cars, sinks, washer/dryer, refrigeratorscopper --> wiring, plumbingcement --> driveways, brick mortargasoline, electricity --> we all know how this affects usBasically, what we have is inflation, without a rise in income... squeezing people tighter and tighter, thus the current mess we are in.

I have several properties with a lot of equity now I need money for investments.I want to pull some money out, but the question I have is, do I pull equity out of a home that is in a hot market area or a market that is slowed down or does it even matter?

The net impact may be that we're able to offer the product even to landlords with 1-2 properties.I suspect we're at least a year out from that, at best.
