I took a lot of heat in several online forums for my asking price.... and in the end Ive got two great tenants that are respecting our properties, paying rent (on time too), have JOBS, and a credit profile that indicates they will actually be able to afford AND continue to PAY.It takes time - dropping your price will open the doors to more marginal candidates... screen as usual (consistent too).

I feel like I could be pretty resilient from investing in the stock market for a few years but I guess I will never know if a bad deal would permanently scare me off or not since I've never owned a home before.Do you think rather than finding an amazing deal it would suffice for now simply to find something that could reduce what I would be spending on rent somewhere and then continue to search for good deals?

In the worst case, this extra money should buy me enough time to continue to pay the mortgage on time as I evict that person if they stop paying the rent and allow me to re-“rent to own” the property or rehab and sell it.
