I can't figure out if she was legally required to disclose to us that she was growing but it seems illogical that there be no consequences to her for hiding this from us if we have to disclose the problem to any future tenants or buyers but had no say in allowing her to grow on our property.  

when the cold weather hits, we'd hide in a corner of the basement...in our own house!  

I have read enough to know that you have to leave emotion out of this and at the end of the day it is business but so far the responses have been great and there has been no trying to hide anything.

The boyfriend is clearly hiding something.

It make me very nervous as money is usually a ploy to distract me from something they are hiding, like the dog may be a out of control monster that eats door frames.

If you don't want pets in the house, this might open you up to a lot of people trying to hide them from you. 

As for all the fraidy-cats hiding behind bits of paper, and so forth, please.....You have a 5-6 figure investment and the best some of you can do is cower.

If hiding behind another name gets you by that is great but regrettably it means you do not have what it takes to be a landlord. 

A lot of people will hide a key near the door, then not be able to find it in a panic, fumble it or kids can't reach it when there is a fire.This can be a U&O issue for the landlord if the property is subject to periodic municipal inspections or the property is sold.
