If I want to get involved in this type of investing do I need to do it outside of California and travel to MO, TN, AL for example?

It ended up taking 4 hrs of our time (including travel time).We will also have to figure out what to charge for the repairs to the door frame once we do that.

Hoping to find a CPA with plenty of experience and knowledge on short sale tax laws - basically a "IRS whisperer" :)Any part of the Bay Area is good, I will travel for the best.

I am currently trying to carve out time from my full-time job with out of state travel every month and start my campaign shortly.

Man the rental market is smoking hot here, at least for quality properties.

It is amazing how water travels in side a house when it get in there.

My plan is to buy and hold MFR properties and eventually have a portfolio that can replace a full-time income in retirement.Right now I'm looking at investing in the Syracuse, NY area since A) I can afford to buy there and B) my family still lives there, so I have an opportunity to travel back 2-3 times a year.

My mindset and a deeper understanding of my purpose for working in real estate has always been to grant me the freedom to enjoy my life, with my family, my friends, my kids and our love of travel and play (something that most typical 9-5'ers are not able to accomplish).
