My Sister, Brother in Law, and New born nephew moved back in with my parents after they sold their house about 2 years ago.They could easily afford to have rented, but my parents loved having them there.

In addition to those with certain incomes or credit, you could include criminal histories, pending litigation, etc.I'll ask a devil's advocate question which may or may not stir this pot a whole lot more, but do child molesters, rapist, kiddy porn peddlers, etc. all deserve the same standard of living and attention as those of us who aren't?

Children qualify by age, not size, you can see the occupancy guidelines on the HUD website.If it is a county or municipal permit, you can call, explain and ask for a variance, a child under 2/3 can stay with parents in a bedroom.
