Keep in mind one reason people live in urban areas is proximity to their work place.

SOOOO ... long story short ... after 5 supervisor escalations and a $100 installation fee, an emergency ticket was put in to re-install the meter and install a valve to get water!

From my understanding it’s called the “Free Rent Bill” and it passed the board of Supervisors in San Francisco 10-1.

All 3 times I called, the initial person I spoke to immediately passed me on to the "Level 2" supervisor.

I had started down the path with IHMVCU and then when the supervisor got wind I was OOS, they didn't want any part of it anymore.

Full time I am an Aviation Safety Inspector with the Federal Aviation Administration and also a supervisor in the Air Force Reserves.We have zero experience with investment properties and are considering renting our primary residence. 

In researching California law, I can only find laws pertaining to home or workplace use of video cameras where it says it is illegal when someone has a "reasonable expectation of privacy" such as in a bathroom.
